Why learn Spanish in La Paz
La Paz is a fascinating city with, most of the year, bright blue mountain skies and views of snowy peaks. It has a beautiful colonial city center with narrow, winding streets. This is where most of the hotels are. A multitude of ethnic groups live in La Paz which makes it a colorful mêlée. This very safe city may well be the height of Latin America travel.
But La Paz also offers fine dining, numerous stylish cafés and bars, as well as sophisticated clothes shopping.
And, it is by far the cheapest Latin American capital. For the price of a youth hostel elsewhere, you can stay in a comfortable hotel here.
Many other good reasons for learning Spanish in La Paz :
- Bolivian Spanish is a rather neutral, standard Spanish, easy to understand and understood in all other countries
- La Paz is the starting point for numerous short-trip destinations. You can combine your Spanish classes with a variety of 2- or 3-day trips.
- La Paz is at 3,600 meters altitude. While learning Spanish you can acclimatize for any altiplano travel you have in mind.
