How we work
We offer detailed programming with full flexibility to ensure you meet your learning objectives.
Every prospective client is offered an intake interview. This interview assesses the following:
- The level of proficiency you desire to obtain
- The type of Spanish you need (business/formal/colloquial)
- How you best learn a foreign language
- How much knowledge you already have
- How intensively you prefer to study
- Any special interests you may have
- Any activities with which you would like to combine your Spanish learning
Based on this interview, we design a program for your consideration. At this stage (and at any later stage), you are welcome to propose changes to the program. At any point in your course, you will have a clear understanding of what you are learning and for what purpose. Moreover, the detailed program allows us to monitor whether you are advancing toward your stated goals. If for any reason you are behind with the program (or ahead, it happens) we will adjust the program, extend the period or adjust the set goals. If you are fully committed to the program, we guarantee achievement of your goals. If needed, we will provide extra classes to ensure you reach your goals.
One Contact Person
You will be assigned a Contact Person. The Contact Person is responsible for the implementation of your program. He/she will assign the appropriate teachers. The Contact Person coaches and supervises all the teachers involved with you and will adjust the program, if needed. The Contact Person is responsible for monitoring whether the goals are achieved. To monitor progress, your teacher records and communicates to the other teachers what content was covered, your progress and any problems that exist. Through a computerized monitoring system, all the teachers and your Contact Person have access to these details. You yourself can also access this information, which may help to understand your strengths and weaknesses.
Multiple Teachers Styles
We endeavor to have a variety of teaching styles and methods available within our institute. Our teachers bring different techniques and teaching styles to the classroom (as well as more than one accent!). We welcome you to let us know if you desire to study with more than one teacher.
Deep Educational Material Base
We have an enormous amount of material available for class and self-study. These materials have been catalogued in a database where we have documented the content, level, duration, learning method, etc. of each one.
The teachers use the database to prepare their classes. You, as a student, are welcome to use the database as well. You will have complete access to all the information about your curriculum, and the learning materials for your level. You are able to see what the teachers consider your pain-points, what themes need to be covered before reaching the next level, and to what extent you have covered the requirements already. Moreover, you may access all the materials in the database suitable for self-study and can continue learning between classes. Online students can request materials to be sent to them via Skype or email.
Most of our materials are published by EDELSA.
Guaranteed Results
We collaborate with you to formulate detailed objectives for your course. We guarantee that these objectives are reached within the course period and for the quoted price.
Free Lessons
If you progress more slowly than anticipated, we will provide additional lessons for free. In short, we will do whatever is required to achieve your learning objectives.
Distance learning
For those who want to make fast progress but have little time:
You work to learn Spanish for several hours each day at a time convenient for you. You alternate intensive, individual classes with focused assignments. Each class will address the issues and mistakes of the assigned work. Five days of complete dedication should be equivalent to 2-weeks of half-day classes. Using this option, you could work to complete Level One according to the European Framework.
Available both online and in La Paz.
Prices from USD300 for one level.
Weekend Crash Course: from USD40, depending on the number of hours of class.
